So, I just want to start off this informative post by saying, One Rooster is now closed. Pointless to talk about, right? Wrong... because I still have pictures to show.
It's unfortunate this place has closed in less than a year of being open. It was a good concept but in a bad location of West Midtown - just no traffic to draw attention (or 'traffic') to it. It was just up from West Egg Cafe but just a bit too far up from the action of Westside Provisions.
The food was pretty good as you could build your own bowls; noodles or rice; whichever meat and veg you wanted; and any sauces. It would then be cooked for you in plain site before being delivered to your table. If you couldn't be bothered to put your own meal together, you could preorder one.

The above looks like (and was) a delicious concoction my boyfriend put together (he seems to have a knack for these things and yet I'm supposed to be the foodie, ugh) - it consisted of sausages, marinaded chicken and for some small bites of sweetness; mandarin orange.

Mine turned out pretty good too but I was stingy with the sauce - didn't have the guts to go full on, on my first try.
They also did starters (below). We went for the sriracha fries and sauce, and the steamed pork buns - very delicious.

Luckily the owner is in co-ownership with a few other restaurants - one popular around town being Le Fat - so it's not a sad story but maybe we'll see something similar pop up in the future.
