Atlanta Feasts: Firehouse Subs

Now I know this isn't Atlanta specific and it's seen as a 'fast-food' joint, I guess, but hey, I don't discriminate when it comes to writing about food. If it's good, it's good, etc.
Firehouse has become a bit more of a regular quick-bite-pick-me-up for me recently because we found it next to Sublime Doughnuts when we checked that out in the Georgia Tech area, so you have a main and a dessert - great manoeuvre to whichever company ended up there second.
The only reason I really want to talk about this place is because I'm sour about Subway becoming 'better' than Quiznos. Coming from Britain, Firehouse Subs doesn't exist and a number of years back for some mind-baffling reason, Subway blew up in popularity (or pummelled money into their marketing) as Quiznos very quickly closed down and went into extinction in the UK. I was 'outraged' (it's not that serious).
For subs, I absolutely love Firehouse (barring any independents that may be amazing - let's keep it commercial right now) and it's very similar to the quality of Quiznos - the bread and toasting of it, the dressings, seasonings; simply the whole packages they offer (their pickles are pretty darn good too). Subway is very mediocre to me and, well... boring (sorry, Subway).
A great side note of this place is they support their local Firehouses, which makes it taste even better (obviously not literally).
That's my rant/praise so enjoy an image of a 'classic Italian' from Firehouse and know that I was enjoying every, single, bite.
